No average plus runner  can  win- start  to  finish,  a race  which is more  than  a  mile.

Impavid  lost  not  because  Well  Connected  was  better than  him  but  the  connections/jockey  used  wrong  tactics to  go  start  to  finish....

Impavid's  fate  was  sealed  the  moment he  took  over  at 1800  in  the  kind  of  going  and  it  is  surprising  that  he  lasted  till  last stride  to  lose...
