PERFORMANCE APPRAISAL – PART – III
One of my friend advised me to place a summarized analysis of my tips because the details are available on the site . My reply was that for a skeptical reader I’ve to provide the under mentioned info to prove my credentials (! ?) . Of course, it does provide a clear picture of my performance and the efforts.
This is the finale and I’ve to tell the final truth! I must start from 29th November – the date I ended the part II of my experiment, or research or exposition or the effectiveness of my system of handicapping.

This brings us at the end of one month of extensive effort to try to win races at different racecourses and to satisfy all type of punters – those who play few races, those who play many races and even those who want to play every race of the day. The result of win/loss date-wise for all the three categories is summarized below . 1511 means 15November and H,M,B stand for Hyderabad, Mumbai and Bangalore. Winning amount is prefixed by + sign and loss is enclosed in a bracket .

Following conclusions can be drawn from the above results .
1)The MYTH that you can not win from races is WRONG
2)The MYTH- you CAN NOT win playing ALL races is WRONG
3)The MYTH-to be a winner – play only 1 or 2 races is WRONG
4)The MYTH-YOU CAN NOT LIVE ON EARNINGS OF RACES IS WRONG
5)Follow a well reasoned out plan to be a winner
6)Follow a good handicapping system
7)Do not waiver if you lose, and do not be greedy if you win

We like your work. It would even more useful to us if you give some notes about the basis of your selections. That will be an education for us to pick up good horses in future.

dear Madhu,
you have a point in that a small brief about selection will help a lot but I'm runnibg short of time and even posting such a short selection takes 10 to 15 minutes .On Sunday with 18 to 19 races and analysing 170 to 180 runners even in a cursory way takes lot of time. However, I'll try to say few words or a line about a runner, whenever possible.
Furthermore, I'll write a series of articles about handicapping which may help you to understand my method of analysis.

You are absolutely right to pickup the last ‘word’. Do not waiver and do not be Greedy. On 6Dec 09 my wins were Rs.47640/- and Rs 35850/- in Cat I and Cat II respectively. I would have achieved my target of Rs. 50,000/- win (a profit of 250% ) in 30 days in both the categories but became impatient and increased my number of selections in both the categories -6 selections in Cat II on 12Dec 09! The result was loss of almost Rs.12000/- in Cat II. 7 selections(betting almost on all the races!) on 13 Dec(M) gave profit of Rs. 740/- only!!
I’ll revert to old pattern now onward…

I do understand your point – but mine is a one man show and I’ve no team. I have posted my selections for Hyderabad ‘after’ 1PM but I’ve ‘ignored’ the first 2 races . On Sunday Mumbai and Hyderabad combined run 17 to 19 races and I’ve to handicap ‘every’ runner which on one Sunday added to more than 180 runners! Even if you spend only 3 minutes on each runner by reading their name, pedigree, past performance record , current form eqpt. change, jockey change .penetrometer readings during various runs and their probable effect and finally arrive at a speed rating (using track variant) you will find that it is almost impossible to do justice to the kind of handicapping I’m used to.
However , I’ll try to post my selections as early as possible.

You are right . The effort is telling on me! After I achieve my aim in Cat I and II I’m going to concentrate only on Cat III because that is my main ambition – to make racing pay! Even if I can achieve 10% profit margin I’ll consider myself highly rewarded. Because that is the myth I want to blow off!!!
