Jacquline - out of Indian Triple Crown

Long ago , I made a comment that Set Alight can be the first filly to win Indian Triple Crown in last 50 years, but she did not accept for Indian 2000G and lost the chance of a lifetime . People with hindsight would say that by losing Indian Derby she would have anyway lost the triple crown. But that's a different story.
Again, sometime back- before the running of 2000Guineas, I suggested that jacqueline could be aother filly, who could win the Triple Crown, but after going through the acceptance for Indian Oaks I must say that her chaces of winning Indian Derby are low and Indian Triple Crow is ,perhaps, out of reach.

Making money out of any venture, endeavour or business is a legitimate right of any individual or a group and this right can not be questioned. But sometimes, pride, sense of achievement and a will to excel forces some one ,like Fredrico Tessio to take his mare to England- hundreds of miles and several countries away to produce a colt called Nearco, who has changed the complexion of thoroughbred industry.

But our Indian stalwarts of thoroughbred industry routinely geld their promising colts and most of the time maintain the profit motive as the main theme of their racing activities.
But ,who are we to question them?
Neither a part, nor a partner nor an associate - what right people like us have to question them?
Nothing , Nil - absolutely no right...

Just want to ask you one thing, why do we have to presume? Many said Jacqueline after her 1000 Guineas run would not win 2000 Guineas, but she annihilated the 2000 field with supreme ease, this goes to show the quality of the filly, she can very well run oaks and then come back and run in the derby which has a two week break! But this is if she stays the trip. My haunch is that Astral Flash should get the trip better tomorrow, but then...we should never discount the classy horses with huge hearts.

Mr Sood,
My comments were impromptu. Made immediately after I read the acceptance/ declaration on a site. When I write ,I rarely presume because in horseracing presumptions are deadly. In my reply, I’ll be brief because I’ve to study tomorrow’s card.

I’m neither a trainer nor an owner – though I know many ‘past’ owners.

During last 5 yrs. Of my internet writing I’ve selected 3 thoroughbreds- Southern Empire, Set Alight and Jacqueline as the best Indian TBs who could bring laurels to Indian racing. First two are history and JQ is still racing.

Winning 1200 -2000m races with good pedigree, conformation, Roman numbers and training is possible. But when you want to win 2 races of 2400m, your runner must have pedigree, training and stamina to support.

Amazing Bay(Riyahi-Birthday Girl) who won Indian Oaks and Indian Derby had a Roman number(5-0-3-8-2) clearly indicating that she is more comfortable over longer distances. BUT I DON’T SUBSCRIBE TO ROMAN NUMBERS BECAUSE HE IGNORES THE CONTRIBUTION OF 50% OF PEDIGREE!!!
No current runner (Indian) who is 4 yo has stamina to win 2 races of 2400m in 2weeks. I wish I’m proved wrong!

Summarizing , I must admit that Jacquline is the best stayer among the runners but winning Indian Derby after running sincerely, in Indian Oaks may be diffcult.

But results do not follow us , we do follow them.
