sometime back in BOL racebook i I read the false rails info and the value of penetrometer reading at Malkapet(Hyderabad) racecourse and was pleasantly surprised to note that the club has acceded to the needs of regular punters.
This info is of paramount importance for a serious racegoer and may be useless for a gambler as his focus is on a different aspect of racing.
HRC must be thanked for providing this vital piece of info to understand the racing at that center in a wider perspective and coorelate the final time of a runner vis-a-vis his class.

I need to know why lower class horse can give better time than highest class horse timing on same distance and same day.
but when lower class horse runs in higher class its nowhere?!!

I'll try to reply all your queries but it will take time . Pl have patience .
well, KF,
I'm a bit confused about 'low+er class animal giving better time than higher class runner'
many reasons can be put forward for that :
1) lower class runner is on upgrade2) has better pedigree
3)current form than higher class animal
4)better training and rider
and many more factors can be cited .
if you give few examples I may be able to elaborate in a better way.
class is a very complex topic and I equate it with 'ability' of a runner at that time and I don't believe that it is 'permanent' but is closely linked with current form, otherwise Mansoor - Indian Derby winner(1973) would not be running in class V B in Calcutta in 1975!Also a recent example, Diabolical would have won more races than 1 or 2 he has won after winning Indian Derby ! I know I'm talking against well established principles - but some dared to do that, few were cowed down but some did survive. Let me see, I belong to which category!
Penetrometer reading relationship with final time will take time...
I need minimum of 50/60/races for each class , each distance and at each value to give a satisfactory formula or indicator. There are projection methods, which many researchers use but I don' like to do that as it has some inherent inaccuracies and can be easily manipulated.
However, as and when, I've a reasonable ready reckoner I'll come with that...
